Good for the price, pain in the arse to find a sublet and deal with management so make sure you want to be here for the entire lease term. Also have issues with mold and old appliances but again not bad for price and location.

You can't beat the price for the area, our dog loves the dog park, and I love being on the bus line! The walls are kind of thin in the buildings but the buildings are also old so it doesn't bother me too much. The landlords are awesome though, very responsive and easy to work with!

Great place to live! Management is super helpful we haven't had any issues! When we first moved in, we had a few things that we needed to sort out and Aaron was super helpful in making our transition into our new apartment smooth and easy. My roommate and I have a dog and cat and they love Boltwood too!

I lived at Boltwood for 3 years. The landlords are great and super quick to fix things. Great for pets, reasonable rent, and a convenient bus stop right out front. The only thing I would have liked to have is a shelter at the stop, but it never was too long of a wait!

Management is very helpful at accommodating your needs and always quick to reply with questions. Plus its one of the cheapest apartments in allendale that allows pets and the apartments are well updated and maintained!

I’ve lived in Boltwood for 3 years now and it’s been great. The rent is fair and they allow animals so that’s a win/win. Bus stop right out front for students and a huge parking lot ehich they plow well in the winter. They recently added a dog park for those with pets which is awesome. Landlords are super approachable and available when needed. Overall, would highly recommend living in Boltwood.

Boltwood's a great place to live especially for GV students. Rent is affordable, rooms are spacious and the walls aren't paper thin like some places. They provide free internet and cable too. It's about a 20 minute walk to campus or there's a bus stop at the entrance. Management was always helpful and friendly. No regrets choosing Boltwood.

Helpful managers and fast maintenance

I've lived here for 2 years now and I've not had a bad experience yet. It's reasonably priced and the landlords are great.

I love Boltwood, it's my second year living here and the apartment managers and the maintenance crew are wonderful. The apartments are a little older but in good condition and any problems I've run into are quickly corrected. My dog and cat love this place, too!

I've lived in boltwood for the past year and I renewed my lease for another year as well. So far everything has gone so smoothly. Eddie and Aaron are always on top of things when needed. I had an issue with an electrical outlet and my roommate had Eddie take a look and there was an electrician at our apartment the next day to fix it. The only other problem I have is that my closet door was not on the hinges when I moved in, but I didn't think a work order was necessary so it still isn't on the hinges. Other than that we have had no issues in the apartment.

PROS: The absolute best thing about boltwood is that you can have your pet. I got my dog this year and he has loved living in boltwood. Everyone (for the most part) is very considerate with cleaning up after their pets. The snow removal in the winter is usually done well. I've shoveled the sidewalks a few times but that is just because the snow was coming down so hard. Usually there is a bucket full of sand/salt to for anyone to put out so it never hurt to use that either. There is a lot of parking so you never have to fight to get a spot. Since the apartments are older the walls are not paper thin, so most noise from neighbors is blocked out.

CONS: The carpet is cheap and it looks so worn no matter how much I try to clean it. The cupboards are older, but functional. Also, the windows need cleaned a lot due to condensation. I do recognize that this is a college apartment though so I don't let these bother me.

I will update this post if anything else occurs during my time at boltwood or after I move out. Overall, I don't think anyone should hesitate to sign a lease here. Plus, the price is awesome!

I had a great experience at Boltwood! The apartments are spacious, clean, and reasonably priced for pets. Eddie and Aaron in the office are very accommodating and respond to questions and concerns in a reasonable time frame. Probably the best apartment office employees I've dealt with...and I work as a leasing agent for another GV complex!

My only concern and reason for leaving was the security of the buildings. We were given a key to the main door at move in but it's never locked and I had a stranger follow me up the stairs and pound on my door late at night once on a holiday when the complex was nearly vacant. I called security and they were very helpful. I feel that updated security such as an access card to get into the building would make tenants feel safer.

Aside from that, my experience at Boltwood was great! And my roommate and I appreciate the accommodations for ourselves and our pet.

Where do I begin....
First off, my room mate and I were charged for an entire month of rent in August. Our move in date wasnt until half way through the month. A week before we moved we received an email saying we couldnt move in due to "repairs". We were not allowed to move in until the 20th, and we could find no noticeable repairs..

Through out the year they also charged my room mate for random things that the girls at the office said they would not charge her for...when she called Eddie to get it all straightened out, he bribed her. He said if she left a nice review, he would drop all of the random, unexplainable charges. I'm sorry but that is just NOT how you run a business.

The most irritating thing so far is that we move out on July 15th. It is the 13th, and we have JUST been informed that there will be pavement work on the parking lot in front of our building for the next two days. We now have to carry all of our furniture to the front parking lots all the way to our cars while they do this work. Let it be mentioned that we are not allowed to move out early either, or we will be fined. So now we will literally have to walk our beds and couch and all of it across the entire property or we will be fined. I would absolutely never recommend this apartment to anyone. The owners are terrible and the service and condition of the apartments is trash.

Nice apartments for college students! Very spacious and clean! Eddie and Aaron in the office are the nicest and are willing to help with any apartment problem you may have. Worth every penny.

BEWARE.......THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX WILL NICKEL & DIME YOU TO DEATH. MY SON HAS BEEN THERE (4) YEARS, ATTENDING GVU. IF YOU SIGN A LEASE, DO NOT SIGN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MONTH, AS I DID, THEY WILL MAKE YOU PAY FOR THAT ENTIRE MONTH. CONSIDERING THE ROOMS ARE DATED, DIRTY, MARGINALLY KEPT UP, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE TO ANYONE.
I HAVE PUT (4) KIDS THROUGH SCHOOL, & THIS HAS BEEN BY FAR MY WORST EXPERIENCE.
